pinapple tidbits

This recipe for pineapple and ginger pork chops is quick and easy to prepare. You can have this table dish ready in half an hour. The sauce of this dish makes it perfect with rice, also easy and quick to prepare. A little steam broccoli to a plate and you have a delicious meal to serve your family or friends in half an hour. And the cleaning with this easy meal is also easy, very easy for your family to cope with this task while you relax!

GINGER PINEAPPLE PORK CHOPS

1 can (20 ounces) unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 teaspoon fresh black pepper
1 / 2 teaspoon ground ginger
4 bone in pork loin chops
1 tablespoon butter
1 / 2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Salt 1 / 8 teaspoon
1 / 4 cup water

Drain pineapple, reserving 1 / 4 cup of juice aside. (Refrigerate remaining juice for another use.) Combine the pepper and ginger, rub on both sides of chops. In a skillet, Melt butter, add the pork chops and brown 2 to 3 minutes per side. Add the orange juice, 1 cup pineapple and 1 / 4 cup reserved pineapple juice. Bring mixture from skillet to a boil. Reduce heat, cover pan and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until meat is tender and cooked through. Remove pork chops from skillet and keep warm. In a small bowl, combine cornmeal, salt and water until smooth. Stir the mixture into the pan juices and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for a couple of minutes until thickened. Serve the mixture over pork chops.
