Can a snake loses its' teeth of a poor diet?
I rescued a python in February that he was almost starved to death. Could feel all the ribs and was lethargic, on top of having two ships had to remove retained. I checked her mouth when she was rescued from decay, but found pink appearance with no sign of stomatitis. I, however, note that was missing half of a row of teeth in upper jaw, and I know her former owners never took her to the vet, and stomatitis just not clear in their "own. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone knew if the snakes could lose their teeth due to malnutrition or starvation? Any information helps. Thank you. Only a rumor of information: She has been eating regularly my care and his general health is improving daily. He is gaining weight very quickly and keeps eyecaps not plind, which is encouraging and I am sure will to make a 100% recovery of the neglect he suffered over the years. And yet, she has a wonderful personality! ^ _ ^
Snakes may lose their teeth from malnutrition, but it is possible that someone or something little worn, and we get started, (I've had snakes bite my teeth and let my hands and leather coat), the teeth grow back if their roots have not yet received tissue damage. This snake is Permantly attached to you, reptiles understand when they have been rescued, and demonstrate that they know are their human resources. You did a good thing and it seems that the wonderful progress. I have rescued and rehabilitated many reptiles them (over 200 with only two had to put down).
