clear plastic serving trays

Well, we know we are just the teensiest little nervous about people. Or put it more honestly, its been 5 years since anyone has stepped over the threshold and only the thought of it makes you want to hide under your covers and embrace the pillow.
Do not worry, we're here to help. And like many things, baby steps are usually better than taking a sharp decline. So instead of telling you how to plan a sit down dinner party for 12 that we start with the planning of a party that is simple and less threatening, coffee with friends. The key word here is friends.
Remember, the more people you invite people you like and like you. They're just waiting for a chance to meet, they are not out to vote for how well they stack up to the last number of the house and garden.
So, with that in mind, let's begin.
1. The first is the guest list. Think of a few people you like who you think would enjoy a morning short meeting. It is not necessary to send an invitation to elaborate, just pick up the phone and call, or send an e-mail. You can invite 2 or 3 or 10, however many you feel comfortable.
2. Next we have to decide what to serve. Since we are planning on a morning coffee we will have coffee, and a kind of sweet bread, quick bread, donut or a muffin. You can buy these delicacies at any grocery store, Sam's Club, Costco or Trader Joe's. Buy whatever you want and your guests will probably like it too.
3. You can stop here, but we will give your customers a healthy alternative and serve a little fruit. You can serve a bunch of grapes or an orange cut into quarters. If you have a melon of some kind, cut into cubes or balls.
4. Now, for your presentation. This is where you can show that really cares about this small group and went to some trouble to make it pretty. We start with coffee.
Make a pot of coffee to be ready (or order it from Starbucks, Peets, or Gloria Jeans.) Get ready glasses or cups and put them on a tray or rank them on the counter. Put cream or milk or cream flavored with a pitcher. NOT SERVING THE RIGHT THINGS OUT OF THE BOX. Put sugar in a bowl of sugar and if you are offering packages Low Cal sugar, put them in a small bowl.
If people look at coffee, make sure agitators them (try to put them in a small glass) or to remove coffee spoons.
5. Decide where you are having your coffee. At the kitchen table? Outside, in comfortable chairs? In the room be? Wherever, make sure the room is picked and the best. Place the dish or plate of muffins and donuts out and organizing food beautifully on it. NO SERVING THE MATERIAL OUT IN PLASTIC CONTAINER They Came in the store. Try to put a fresh flower (from your garden) on your plate, so it looks really special.
6. Do not forget the fruit. A dish of grapes or a plate of cut fruit to be enjoyed by everyone.
7. Serving plates and forks and napkins too little and you're done.
Now, I hope it does not sound hard. You know exactly what to do and everything you can buy. You can even get coffee from a place like Starbucks, Gloria Jeans or Peets not want to make your own.
You invited your favorite people and who knows how to expose your food and condiments. All that remains is for you to sit and relax. Without even realizing that you just released a lovely little coffee party.
