What full balance of factory warranty mean?

I plan on buying a car soon, but I do not understand the terms and jargon. Does anyone knows what the full balance of factory warranty say about cars?

This means a used car that is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If the manufacturer had a 3 year/36000 mile warranty and the vehicle has been in service for 1 year 2 months and had 20,000 miles remaining warranty of 1 year 10 months or 16,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
