Electret Condenser

Microphones have been subjected to a lot of changes over the years. Some designs were left and others became part of the vintage microphones. Microphone, popularly known as Mike or microphone, is a major element in an audio or music.
The main task of the MIC is to convert sound into an electrical signal. Has a number of applications such as in music production system, the phone, the headset, the film production, etc.
Previously, the microphones were known as the transmitters. In 1978, Thomas Alva Edison made the first commercial microphone. He was a carbon microphone. Later, at Bell Labs in 1962, a new type of condenser microphone was invented.
There were a number of microphones who have made their marks in recent decades. Some of the names went on to create history, but now are a part of vintage microphones.

The History and Development of microphones
The 1930s saw the film industry to test the new technology to record musical scores. However, the range of microphones offered was low. He entered the MGM Studios in Culver City, CA, to test the newly invented microphone cardioid made by the Siemens Co, Germany. It is used to make "Naughty Marietta" with the likes of Jeanette McDonald and Nelson Eddy.
Dynamic or condenser microphones were much smaller in size than the version of Siemens in the microphone cardioid. There was a continuing effort to reduce the size of the microphones for ease of use.
James Cannon of Cannon Electric Co. in Los Angeles, CA, was told that create a connector for the mic. Its creation was a 6-pin connector that later became the prototype of the P-type connector A, which proved an instant success. 3 conductor cable connector of the camera was then put Cannon plug into history after 1929.
Mason, Marshall, Bell Labs was a plane a tubular microphone in 1939. The design was such that use a single element and acoustic tubes of different sizes. He helped pick the music direction. The tubular design was the forerunner of today's micros.
Electret condenser microphone is a part of the vintage microphones, because it has a history dating back to 1928. He used polarized wax plates. Bogen offers such business under the name Velotron voltage. The Second World War saw the development of wax electret microphones. The Japanese have used in their field devices. However, it became very popular due to its instability.
In 1962-1965 the electret microphones got their diaphragm made of a thin layer of mylar foil or Teflon. Sony, in 1968, then created the best condenser microphone electret. That too has gone through vintage microphones.
